Hanging up Christmas lights is a tradition that many families enjoy. This year with the holidays around the corner how about going a little green and using solar christmas lights to decorate your home. You don't have to spend a ton of money either. You can begin by getting a few solar string lights for the front of your home. You can also add a Santa Claus solar light as well. It doesn't really matter what matters is gradually changing from money wasting Christmas lights to more energy saving ones. You would definitely have to shop around because prices differ greatly. Some retailers are too stubborn to lower their prices because their stock is from last year when prices were much higher than they are now. Doing a simple search will lead you to many retailers that are selling solar christmas lights at half price. And you will end up saving money because unlike regular lights solar lights don't require electricity. They are powered by a rechargeable battery that gets the power from solar energy or simply the sun.

If you want to change your lighting and would like to know what is available then here is a list of what you should expect to find. More decorations come out ever year so everything on this list is not exactly everything that is out there. If you like any particular solar powered christmas lights then just research them and you will find amble retailers that sell them.

Solar Led Christmas String Lights: You can get these in one color or your buy them in multicolors. The are ideal for decorating the contour of your house.

White Christmas Solar Lights: These lovely lights come with a stake looks cool too. The stake has solar panels that absorb the sunlight.

Christmas Snowflake Solar Lights: The come in several colors including blue, pink, yellow, orange and green. There are used in the yard for added decoration and look stunning at night.

Solar Icicle lights: These solar Christmas lights come in the shape of icicles and are hung outside the home. The give off a sparkling light and are very attractive.


There are many more styles but the ones I listed above should give you an indication of what is out there. Solar Christmas are being used by smart homeowners who want to save money on their electric bill and also make their house look great around the holidays. You can definitely add more cheer with using christmas solar lights.
